Hampshire House, awarded 4 stars by the Tourism Grading Council, was Runner up (Highly Commended) in the Countrywide AA Accommodation Awards Bed and Breakfast "Guest House of The Year" competition in 2006 and a finalist for 3 previous consecutive years.

Situated in a quiet tranquil setting it is an ideal venue and perfect base from which to explore the Cape Peninsula. Being just minutes from the freeway is a bonus as you have tranquility and accessibility.

 The freeway leads to and from Cape Town International Airport, (18 kms.) the City and exciting Waterfront, Also the beaches of Hout Bay, Muizenberg and St. James.

                            Constantia Wine Valley

Being situated in the Constantia Wine Valley is another added attraction as it  has a rural feel to the whole area, and you can visit any of the 6 wineries only 5 minutes away.

We have some of the top restaurants in the country a short drive away and over a dozen choices from Fine Dining to Pizza. There is a short resume of some of them in the “Welcome to Hampshire House” brochure in your room.

You have come to the right venue for golfers! We have 6 local courses, all within 20 minutes drive and a further 10, most of which are less than an hour's drive away. Many of these are in the Paarl and Stellenbosch wine regions, so you can make a day of golf, lunch and wine tasting.
